Discharging Serving Members

Waiting Periods

Waiting periods can be avoided if you join within the 90 days of discharge if the application takes effect from the day following discharge.

DVA Cardholders

DVA Gold Card members with a family can choose to pay the discounted military family rate, which excludes the cost of the DVA Gold Card holder. If the DVA Gold Card member chooses to pay the discounted military family rate then the DVA Gold Card holder can NOT make any claims on the fund as they have excluded their component of the contribution from the total family membership.
