Share a room and pay less
Share a ward in a public hospital, choose your doctor* and receive up to 100% cover in a public hospital. You still get to choose your own doctor and when your treatment occurs**. You also receive five seperate day procedures in a private hospital (per year).

For day procedures, Basic Plus members can choose a public or private hospital. 

Public Hospital and Day Facility Accommodation
Up to 100% cover for shared ward for same day or overnight procedures.

Private Hospital Accomodation
Up to 100% of the contracted fee for five seperate day procedures per benefit year. After the 5th seperate day admission, overnight admission or admission to a non-contracted hospital, the benefit will be paid at the designated default level.

Medical Gap Benefits
Services rendered during a hospital stay are subject to two benefit types, either Gap Medical or Access Gap.

Prosthetic Appliances
Up to 100% of the minimum Government recommended fee, towards the cost of surgically implanted prosthetic appliances.

Podiatry Surgery
Limited benefits are available when Podiatric Surgery is performed in a contracted hospital by an Australian Government Accredited Podiatrist. For further information please call Navy Health on 1300 306 289.

Ambulance Services
100% of the fee for all ambulance services within Australia provided that the service is from a State / Territory registered ambulance service.
